Solid Surface

Solid surface is a premium benchtop material made from natural minerals and acrylic resin, with a smooth, satin finish that looks as good as it feels. It contains no crystalline silica or quartz, making it a safer option for the tradies who work with it and the families who live with it.

What makes solid surface stand out is the joins. Unlike stone, there's no hard line where two pieces meet. Seams are inconspicuous and blend naturally into the surface. Some sheet grain variation may mean a subtle shift in vein direction, but nothing like the obvious joins you'd see with other materials.

It's also thermoformable, meaning we can shape and mould it into custom designs that other materials simply can't achieve.

We've been fabricating solid surface benchtops at our Geelong workshop for over 25 years, working with trusted brands like Corian, Meganite and Staron. It's a product we know well and genuinely rate.

Common Questions

  • Once we've quoted and confirmed your project, we'll arrange an on-site measurement and templating appointment. We offer installation for all jobs within the Geelong and Surf Coast region. For simpler jobs with no on-site joins, your cabinet maker may be able to complete the installation themselves.

  • We fabricate and install solid surface benchtops across the Geelong and Surfcoast region. If you're located outside this area, we may be able to supply benchtops directly to your cabinet maker, depending on the complexity of your plans.

    Please note, jobs requiring on-site joins must be installed by an accredited Corian fabricator.

  • The lead-time will vary depending on the size and complexity of your job. Our typical lead-time is 3-4 weeks but it is best to check in with our team.

    • Clean daily with warm soapy water or an ammonia-based cleaner.

    • Wipe surfaces dry to prevent water marks or dullness.

    • Avoid placing hot pots, pans, or appliances directly on the surface — always use a trivet or heat pad.

    • Never cut directly on the surface — use a cutting board to prevent scratches.

    • Avoid harsh chemicals like paint removers or oven cleaners; rinse immediately if contact occurs.

    • For sinks, use a non-abrasive cleaner or Soft Scrub® with a Scotch-Brite™ pad.
