Solid Surface Benchtops
Designed for seamless style and everyday durability. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, BBQ’s and beyond.
Solid Surface
Solid Surface is a premium material made from natural minerals and acrylic resin, known for its smooth, satin like finish. It’s completely free from crystalline silica and quartz, making it a safer and more versatile choice for benchtops.
What sets this product apart is its inconspicuous joins, creating clean, uninterrupted surfaces. Thanks to its thermoformable properties, it can also be shaped and moulded into a wide range of custom designs.
At Newgrove Benchtops, we’ve been proudly fabricating Solid Surface benchtops for over 25 years, working with trusted brands including Corian, Meganite, and Staron.
Please note: Installation is available across Geelong and the Surf Coast only.
Advantages of Solid Surface
-
Silica Free
Solid Surface is regarded as one of the safest benchtop materials in the industry as it contains zero silica and quartz. This means fabricating, installing and removing our benchtops poses no risk of silicosis to you or our workers. Given the current silicosis crisis, Solid Surface has been dubbed the “saving grace” for the benchtop industry and is a safe alternative to engineered stone.
-
Non-Porous
Solid Surface boasts a non-porous composition, preventing liquids from penetrating into the surface. This quality renders Solid Surface the ideal choice for both residential and healthcare settings, as it effectively resists bacteria, germs, and viruses. This also makes the surface stain resistant so you can say goodbye to red wine stains for good.
-
Inconspicuous Joins
Solid Surface sheets can be seamlessly joined together using a specialised adhesive, resulting in near invisible joins. This ensures that your benchtop designs are free from any unsightly joins hindering the aesthetic appeal of your benchtops.
-
Repairable
Solid Surface benchtops are not only durable but also easily repairable. If you encounter any minor damages like knocks or chips, rest assured that we can seamlessly repair the surface on site, leaving virtually invisible joins. This means you won't need to replace the entire benchtop, saving you time and money. Plus, Solid Surface can be repurposed into a new benchtop if needed. It's a sustainable and cost-effective choice for the long term.
-
Thermoformable
Unlock your creativity with Solid Surface thermoforming for your benchtop designs. Through thermoforming, Solid Surface sheets are carefully heated to controlled temperatures, allowing them to soften and be shaped according to your vision. This versatile process enables you to achieve unique and personalised designs that perfectly compliment your space. Whether you're looking for sleek curves or intricate shapes, thermoformed Solid Surface offers limitless possibilities to bring your design ideas to life.
-
UV Resistant
Solid Surface stands as a resilient choice for outdoor applications, boasting durability, waterproof properties, and UV resistance. With this material, your benchtops are built to withstand the rigors of outdoor environments, ensuring they remain unfazed by harsh UV rays and maintaining their vibrant appearance without fading over time.
