Our History
Founded in the 1980’s, Newgrove began manufacturing kitchen cabinets in a small workshop along Maxwell Avenue, Belmont. The business was relocated to larger premises in Currier Street, Breakwater after the purchase of an innovative machine — an American Evans Postformer.
A short time later the business was bought by Sean and a fellow co-worker and eventually relocated to its current location at Leather Street, Breakwater.
30 years on, Sean and his team of 20+ staff are still successfully manufacturing and supplying bespoke benchtops.
Seeing the opportunity for specialising in benchtops we have steered the business in that direction. Newgrove has since made its mark in benchtops providing an innovative and quality product to their customers in residential, hospitality, health and education sectors in Geelong and surrounding regions.

Local manufacturing
We produce all our benchtops right here in our Breakwater factory located in Geelong. Our commitment lies in providing the local region with the finest quality laminate and solid surface materials.

Quality control
Newgrove’s quality control begins with the investment in the finest German equipment, sourcing premium materials through to fabrication by highly-skilled tradesmen and finally to the inspection of the end product which is completed prior to the product leaving the factory.
